Our
Staff
Steve
Amesbury
Steve
is co-founder and Director of Island Consulting Pty Ltd (formerly Island
Technology). Specialising in Information Management and Technology project
management services, Island has been operating since 1991.
Steve
specializes in areas such as IT management, risk management, change management and project
quality assurance. His assignments included designing a Human Resource Training
system for a major private healthcare supplier, consulting assignments for Government Departments in Victoria
and New South Wales, and designing the network for one of Australia’s largest
Insurance Broking firms.
For
five years, Steve held a position as Director Information Services at the NSW Office
of State Revenue, where he managed one of this states largest and most
successful IM&T Projects of the time. During that time, Steve was on
several government committees responsible for developing standards, and was a
well known proponent for change in State Government (IM&T) forums.
Since then, Steve has acted as IT Manager for a large NSW Government Shared Service
Network (NSW Businesslink), and prior to that, acted as IT Manager for another
Shared Service Arrangement (The Visitor Services Agencies).
His recent assignments have included
developing business cases for several NSW Departments, and a review of a
major project for the Western Australian Government.
His
background includes roles as project manager, applications manager and IT
Manager in some of Australia’s leading insurance companies.
With a track record of successful project implementation, he is most
proud of the organizational and structural changes he has achieved, which have
delivered major improvements to the efficiency of the IT and business areas he
has worked with.
Prior
to his management roles, Steve was an experienced applications designer /
developer within the Australian insurance industry.

Lynne
Amesbury

Lynne
also has many years experience in the banking industry in both Australia and New
Zealand.
Most
recently, Lynne has provided project management services to the Shoalhaven City
Council. Prior to that, she provided consultant services in the development and facilitation of project
management training in Sydney, Adelaide and London. She was also instrumental in
setting up the project office for the NRMA.
Lynne gained
considerable experience within Westpac Banking Corporation performing project
reviews, assessing business justifications and delivering project office
services to many business areas within the company.
With
a background in application development and project management, Lynne’s
experiences includes the setup and running of an internal software house.
Lynne
obtained her first class honours degree from the University of Technology with a
Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing Science). In addition to many
years commercial experience, Lynne has certification in workplace assessment and
training, and in Project Management.
